Day 13 Disneyland! Even the parking “system” is a major logistics operation, and the park is something else. Obviously I am probably about 10-15 years older than the target audience for the park, but it’s a must see anyway. The rides are the most complex I have ever seen and the work and attention to detail put into them and the rest of the park is amazing. The only problem is that there is now another theme park called “Disney’s California Adventure Park” which has all the big roller coasters and scary rides, which is probably more suited to older teenagers and adults. Time did not permit us to visit this park unfortunately. We did however find some kids (about 3 or 4 15 year old American guys) who had bailed up an Australian Disneyland ride attendant and made him say “Fosters, it’s Australian for beer”. When he said it they thought it was hilarious – I interrupted and told them that nobody in Australia actually drinks that crap and the attendant agreed. The kids started to wake up to the fact that we were Australian too so we kept walking. Very funny indeed! |
