Adam has had my name added to his hire car so I dropped him off at work this morning and went for a bit of a drive. I checked out Westminster Mall (one of the larger local malls) and then trekked across to the Spectrum Centre at Irvine, which is a really cool outdoor plaza with a whole bunch of shops, restaurants, cinemas, and an awesome Sega video game centre with a bar and restaurant. It’s kind of like a place in Crown Casino Melbourne called “Bar Code”. I then drove west toward the coast down through the hills to Laguna Beach, which is a really nice place – much more like an Australian beach in that there are hills behind the beach, as opposed to up here where the desert meets the ocean with no natural greenery. I went up to the local Laundromat with Adam tonight and learnt how to wash clothes. What an uplifting experience… He is better than me at Nokia snake (what else do you do while you wait for the washing?)
